I had a wonderful, wonderful time on the Budapest-Vienna-Prague tour, and have written Joe Hutchins at WBJC to tell him so. And I am telling all my opera friends about that weird Don Carlo, as well as the beautiful Magic Flute - I’m not ready to commit to Rome and Malta, but it you have a mailing list, put me on it. You are a marvel.

Thank you for your warm thoughts sent in last week’s e-mail. I want you to know that we have had some of the most wonderful experiences of our lives with you. The very first trip, White Nights in St Petersburg, was absolutely magical and there have been many more exhilarating evenings
of opera, ballet, art museums spontaneous picnics etc. Additionally, we have eaten our way through many countries - sometimes at sublimely fancy places and sometimes at impromptu stops like the outdoor place you, Jim, Mike, Nicolai and I tried as the kitchen was closing. I still use the spice that was on that chicken We both appreciate your talent for being able to create such special experiences.
Creative talent like yours needs lots of detail people to “keep up”. Thanks for everything - we wish you continued success with your endeavors

It’s amazing the unexpected things you get into with Arte Travel like the Palazzo Farnese in Rome or the home of the mayor who fought the Mafia and collects elephants in Palermo. Food and company are always terrific.

My first trip with the ARTE Travel was last summer when we explored the Austrian Empire. Nine operas in 15 days! That has limited appeal but it was my kind of trip! I must say you are making my retirement more fun..

We accompanied Jose last month on the trip to Croatia and Dalmation Coast. This trip was very successful Joan and I enjoyed this experience completely. Jose had plenty of good cultural and music content plus a great deal of picturesque landscape, great hotels, and good food. The Athens hotel was just below the Acropolis with a stunning view nite and day from the roof top bar.
Please consider future Opera and Music tours with Jose. Joan and I will continue to participate.

Last night we had a reunion of sorts for the participants in the trip to northern Spain. All but David and Lori and Robert were there while Ro and the other David were joined by their spouses. Nancy and I had a great time. All were in good spirits. We has an exceptionally agreeable group.

How nice to hear from you.
It took me a couple weeks to recover from the China trip. That was a journey I have always wanted to make and it was wonderful. We saw the usual tourist attractions, which was the object. But there were special touches from you and Dean! We heard the China Philharmonic Orchestra last night in Beijing. Their 24 year old cellist played Perkovief's Sonfonia Conceto op 125. Every one in the orchestra was so proud of him! I had 4th row center seat and could see the concert master tear up during the lengthy applause. What a memorable event! What a good seat!
Another special thing you did was schedule our group to attend a performance on the 2000 year old Ancient Chime Bells at the Hubie Provincial Museum. It was a very pretty concert.
Like nothing I had experienced or expected.

I would have liked to send this Email immediately upon my return from the Dalmatian Coast Tour, but I got so busy the time flew by. So, today, on Thanksgiving Day, I wish to let you know how special and instructive the tour of this very confusing part of the world, was for me.
The choice of cultural/historical, architectural, and nature highlights, as well as performance events, hotels, and restaurants, was, as always, excellent. Croatia was a rewarding experience, Dubrovnik a treat, Montenegro a surprise, and Albania, victim of a successive series of invaders, especially instructive. The decision to end the tour with a visit to Athens, and a sidestep to Corinth, was a worthy highlight.

Jose, good to hear from you. While we appreciate being on your last minute trip list, we are still recovering from the Northern Italy trip which was truly wonderful.
We definitely will be back but not this time.
